Ive been on a lot of skate trips over the past few years with my friends to a lot of strange cities. Luckily for us, we have friends all over who are willing to show us a good time. Saint Louis was no different. It all started when Taylor was introduced to Reggie at Wilson skatepark in Chicago, They immediately hit it off and Reggie invited Taylor to come down whenever he wanted to stay with him at his house in Saint Louis.

Taylor had run the idea by me and the rest of the crew and of course we were all down. Next thing I knew we had the car packed and we were on our way. Initially, I admit I was a bit nervous to spend a weekend at a kids house whom I had never met, but after meeting Reggie Cohen, Alex and Gabe Kehoe, Drew Etzkorn, Peaches, and the rest of the Saint Louis homies all my anxiety was instantly lifted.

Out of all the cities that I have been to, I would say Saint Louis is one of the more off the radar cities in the country as far as Skateboarding goes. They have spots around every corner that no one has ever skated and two amazing skateparks that are relatively close to each other, JB Park and ShitSide.

JB park is located in the middle of this huge city park and makes you feel like your in the woods, very good vibes and plenty of downhill lines to get down on, where as Shitside is one of the gnarlier DIY spots out there with all types of shit to skate, from over-vert and pool coping to angle iron ledges to cemented barriers, and its covered so you can skate in the rain.

Unfortunately Shitside is falling apart and will be torn down soon, so if you get the chance, go down to Kings Highway in Saint Louis, you wont regret it. If all the photos and videos don’t give you an idea of how good Saint Louis is than I recommend watching Randy Ploesser's welcome to the High Five video part, he's from Saint Louis and he kills it.

Now that the weathers finally nice again in the midwest I hope the boy's down in Saint Louis can make a trip up to Chicago in the near future and hopefully I will be back in Saint Louis sooner than later. - Terry Hamilton
